Serendipity
Water is often associated with movement and shifting waves.
However, this artwork was inspired by the stillness that water can exhibit. Its surface can appear calm and familiar, with light able to shine through the depths.
This work connects with the Lighthouse theme through the notion of discovery and reflection. A lighthouse serves as a constant structure that provides orientation and reassurance amid uncertainty, helping us navigate unfamiliar waters. Similarly, moments of serendipity can act as quiet beacons in our lives, leading us towards new perspectives and a newfound appreciation of the things one might otherwise take for granted.
Rather than presenting a fixed narrative, this painting invites viewers to pause and consider their own experiences, happy accidents, and the subtle influences that have shaped their journeys. The meaning of this piece is intentionally left to interpretation, suggesting that more lies beyond the borders of the painting.
This artwork encourages the contemplation of the relationship between uncertainty and possibility. In the way that a lighthouse offers direction without determining a destination, Serendipity explores how unexpected moments can illuminate our path while leaving space for personal interpretation and discovery.
