During my clinical attachment I have seen a minority of fat doctors preach weight loss and smoking cessation, then sneak around the back of the hospital for a cigarette or cream cake.

Very interesting piece, I experienced something similar during placements so can relate to the direct message.
This picture is very interesting as it raises the issue as to whether it matters if the doctor should set an example to their patients, or if is only the medical advise/treatment that they give that matters. Would patients be less inclined to follow their doctors advise to lose weight if the doctor was himself overweight, or could one say that a doctors job is to look after their patients health rather than their own?
This is a cartoon which demonstrates some of the difficulties of being a doctor. Having to set a good health example while also working very long hours in stressful conditions is difficult, but the patients often do not have this perspective and doctors can seem hypocritical in their advice.

I couldn’t agree more with the message of this piece. It is direct and to the point, surely medical professionals should be setting an example?

This artwork shows the importance of the doctor as a role model! This is very important for our patients to follow the right advice.
