I have caricatured several medical encounters during my G.P. attachment in Primary Care.
I was taken aback by how constrained G.P.s are by government guidelines.

I recently sat in with a GP and was also informed about all the NHS targets. I too was astonished at how some consultations are organised in order to meet guidelines. A very clever picture too, completely summarises my experience. Great work!
In my opinion, patient-centred care means more than concentrating on disease and how it affects the patient’s physical body. Approaching the best possible treatment does not necessarily mean a suitable drug or an operation. The patient’s social body should also be taken into account and has to be considered. I like the drawing very much because it represents how much the patient’s will and contribution to their own health is restricted.
