Summer Vision
Malcom was uncertain as to whether the HeArt of Stroke sessions would be for him. He was naturally curious, a gardener, and collected fascinating natural forms such as fossilized desert roses. Several weeks into the arts course he continued to supportively remark upon other’s inspirations and passions. This noticing-noticing slowly galvanized Malcom into experimentation with materials which led to a range of art-forms from abstract painting and playful sculptures to close studies of flowers from his garden.
Later commenting on Malcom’s dramatic shift from passive observer to intense engagement one of the group members remarked ‘everyone has hidden different skills and styles and when something catches their interest, they emerge…’
